THERE ARE NOW 2 DJ VA iPod GIFT MIXES AVAILABLE FOR FREE DOWNLOAD!!
This is the spot where you can listen to rare/vintage VA mixes. I have to admit that since the airwaves got saturated with gangster, thugged-out and "made up dances" music, I have just decided to spin live in the clubs and haven't recorded many mixes. Now that the site is up I'll be making some new things to bless people with my interpretation of the "new new" and the classic on the Hip Hop and on the House side. I will probably add some neo-soul and throwback hip hop mixes too for the real heads, so stay tuned!!
Helpful tip - the volume control is the far left button on the player...
I'm a huge fan of "slow jams" and unfortunately, they don't make 'em like they used to. This is my mature music mix for the serious fan of "slow jams". I've got classics from Luther, Prince, Jodeci, R Kelly and Janet Jackson as well as a serious throwback from the Isley Brothers. There are also some forgotten "slow jam" treasures in the mix. Check out DJ VA setting the mood for 70-minutes of nothing but grown folks slow jams. Too many songs today include sex, but forgot that its supposed to be sexy. So, like my man Justin Timberlake - this mix is "bringing sexy back" to the "slow jam". Enjoy!! VA

This is a chill and mature mix unlike anything you've ever heard. Take the best of 90's soul, never heard before remixes from your favorite artists, new music, neo soul, just touch of today's hit artists and REAL hip hop (not just rap) done only the way DJ Vince Adams can do it. Artists include Kindred, The Roots, Erykah Badu, Janet Jackson, The Notorious B.I.G. and Keyshia Cole. This is the perfect mix for your car, having friends by for a good time or just relaxing as the weather heats up across the country. This is not representative of a party mix, its for your chill listening pleasure.

This mix is 80 minutes in its entirety and has over 40 tracks consisting of hits like Jamie Foxx's Blame It, Beyonce's Single Ladies and T.I.'s Whatever You Like. For me the best part of the mix is that its filled with classic hip hop, R&B, reggae and go-go for the 30 and older crowd. Here's a 40 minute sample and the full version available for purchase on the Purchase CD's page.
THIS IS NOT A STRICTLY TOP-40 MIX. I had a lot of fun making this mix, because it was a blend of little known or unknown cuts with popular music and freestyles thrown in for Chi-town flava. Its actually introduced by my man Quinton Richardson from the NY Knicks and features freestyles from Chicago freestyle greats like Gotti, Inf-1 and Sham-God. Lots of great music and VA flava for that throwback early 2000's hip hop experience. Everybody from Noreaga to Jay Z to Raphael Saadiq is in this mix - just played whatever felt good for 2002. Enjoy...
For years in Chicago, Wednesday nights at the Dating Game in Chicago was one of the few clubs that you could hear legendary Chicago DJ's play classic house music and new underground flava in the same night. This mix was done live just prior to a live performance by Chicago's own Peven Everett. This music features progressive underground house music blended seamlessly with classic Chicago house music from the 80's. This mix should definitely resonate with anyone who loves traditional house flava, but wants to hear the genre taken to new places. Peep the Malcolm X intro from the 60's - the words still ring true today, decades later.
Wednesday nights at the Dating Game definitely gives house dj's the room to stretch out and do things a little different than the norm. This mix goes even deeper on the traditional Chicago House and still infuses the underground vibe that set the Dating Game aside from other spots in the city that kept it hot for the true house heads. This mix was made just after President Obama was confronted with the Rev. Wright issues, so I blessed the mix with his views on the subject.
This is me doing me. This is probably one of the more eclectic mixes that you'll ever hear on the underground house side. Its starts very deep and dramatic. Its different, but give it a chance if you're a house lover. It has some of the deepest house rhythms you've ever experienced and its all done with a VA flair. One of my favorite mixes when it comes to breaking away from the "same ol - same ol"...
